🎸 About Extra Texture

Extra Texture is more than a band—it’s a reunion of musical kindred spirits. Guitarist Dennis St. Germain and bassist Steve Mosher first played together in an early incarnation of Extra Texture nearly 40 years ago, blending jazz sensibilities with a love for expressive instrumental music. After exploring separate paths—performing, building instruments, and deepening their craft—they reunited two years ago with a shared vision: to resurrect Extra Texture and carry its sound forward.

Joined by percussionist Carl Lopes from the band Sol Seed, the trio brings decades of experience and a fresh perspective to every performance. Their music is rooted in jazz and Latin traditions, shaped by time, and driven by a deep connection to the groove.
